How many days after I had unprotected sex should I take a pregnancy test?
Is it too early to take a pregnancy test if I had sex today or yesterday?
If it is, when is the right time to take one?
Everyone keeps giving me different answers and it’s confusing to decide who’s right.

Most of the tests can telll you if your pregnant 5 days before your missed period and may be the only way to be the most accurate.

Yes, it’s too early. The pregnancy hormone usually isn’t strong enough to be detected until you’ve missed your period, although there are tests that claim to show a little sooner. At least wait 3 weeks so you’re not wasting money on tests every week. Or see if a local dollar store carries tests if you can’t wait, at least you won’t waste a LOT of money and they may not be as accurate but that’s where I got the test that told me I was pregnant with my 2nd (I didn’t really think I was pregnant because I had an IUD so I bought a cheap test). good luck!

Too early for a pregnancy test, but not too late for emergency contraception.
Go to Planned Parenthood, or ask a pharmacist for Plan B.

Yes, it is too early. It depends on your cycle, when is your period due?
You can check a few days before your period if you use the early detection test and take the test FIRST thing in the morning (take a test only if its been at least 4 hours since you last used the bathroom – — that will increase the accuracy).
If you do not start your period, I would check on more time (as the HCG levels, which is what the PG test checks for could’ve been to low for the test to catch).
